I am very fond of abstract work. think all artists enjoy letting the paint tell a story without the need of realism. Yet, I think our personalities drive us to either be a realist or an abstract artist. When I do these abstract/wildlife pieces it allows me to do a little bit of both. I can satisfy my realism in painting the animal and I can also allow the paint to be splashed around with bold abstract strokes. I'm a fan of strong colors and in these paintings, I can go as colorful as I like.
